Job Description

As a Business Development Support, you will follow up multi-channel outreach campaigns, qualify and nurture leads, and book high-quality appointments with business leaders and HR decision makers. You’ll maintain accurate CRM records, support event follow-ups, and contribute to a relationship-driven client acquisition strategy through consistent outreach and smart prospect research.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Follow up on direct mail campaigns, digital leads, referrals, and event invitations to secure qualified appointments.
  • Nurture leads and build relationships, recognizing that a “no” today may become an opportunity in the future.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, tracking all communications, outcomes, and next steps.
  • Use Beauhurst and other tools to research businesses, identify target contacts, and populate data for outreach.
  • Follow up with invitees for business events to maximize attendance.
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads from paid advertising campaigns.
  • Provide regular updates on call activity, appointments booked, and pipeline status.

KPIs & Expectations

  • Outbound activity: 80–100 dials per day (400–500 per week).
  • Conversations: 10–15 senior decision maker conversations per day (50–75 per week).
  • Appointments: 1–2 qualified diagnostic meetings booked per day (5–8 per week).
  • CRM discipline: 100% of calls, notes, and outcomes logged in CRM daily.
  • Data handling: 80–100 new records researched/added weekly; Beauhurst used for segmentation and updates.
  • Event support: Minimum of 90% invite follow-up completed for each event.
  • Lead nurturing: Track and schedule follow-ups for “not now” leads, ensuring re-engagement within 3 months.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior decision makers (MDs, HRDs, senior managers)
  • Confidence and persistence in making outbound calls and following up with prospects
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing CRM records and data
  • Professional, consultative approach rather than transactional or “hard sell”
  • Ability to understand and communicate the value of coaching and leadership development
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working with activity targets
